Justice is the handmaiden of truth, and when truth dies, justice is buried with it.

I just saw a news clip on one of our local tv stations here in San Diego,Ca. The person featured was Bob Filner. He was talking about feeding the hungry and doing good things here in the great US of A. The gist of the clip was getting out of Iraq. I'm all for getting out but not in a way that will jeoperdize the Iraqis efforts to keep the little peace that is there presently. Peace is relative of course. The problem I have with the retreat is that if we as a goody to shoes country are trying to help the global community we had better stay the course. Either we finish a job or not get involved. Seems to me that our fearless leaders are very selective in problems they want to solve and not to solve. I didn't see any third world country help the Rowndans. How many were slaughterd? Thousands? Where was Kofi Annan's leadership. Probably safe and sound in NYC. Islam freedom fighters (IFF) will certainly will get an ego boost from this. What may happen is that while we retreat to our cave and wallow in our geographical security eating popcorn and watching our sex and violence on our boob tubes the IFF's will attack us during our commercils. Than we will be crying to our fearless leaders for assistance.

I'm getting tired of the same old rantings by the news media people. Especially radio jocks. All of them conservative, liberal and progressive. In their minds the other party is wrong, dead wrong. Seems like their selfishness abounds.
Reminds me of grown up kids. Verbal fights. I surf the radio channels and sometimes I can't understand why there is so much hate for the proverbial other side. I gave up reading newspapers because of the same reason. I guess I'll have to give up listening to talk show hosts.
On second thought maybe the blogosphere will do. Maybe not. I've perused a lot of the Blogstream and have also noticed very biased sentiments. Even verbal infighting between bloggers.

I was expecting good news from the doc today about bringing my wife back from the hospital. No such luck. Infection still present. Maybe Monday the 26th.
I've spent other Christmas days away from my family. But this time I'm at home by my self reading the Blogstream comments.
Oh well. Life goes on.
The thought of one of my Christmas days when I was a kid in Texas brought a smile to my face. The reason for this is that back than I lived in a one bedroom home with four brothers and one sister and my mom and economically disadvantaged. Now I live in a two story, four bedroom home In San Diego,Ca. with my wife and not economically disadvantaged. I think I was happier then.

Been reading and listening to what people have to say about ID. I've come to the conclusion that it does not matter how much it is discussed, legislated or ignored it is just another idea that will soon pass by way of another idea that will hit the proverbial fan. We are so used to talking about the latest ideas that are sensationalized by the all the media. If it ain't Abu Garib, Mrs. Shivo, that lady protesting for her dead son in Crawford, Texas, ANWR, Iraq, on and on and on ........What we all need to do is take care of ourselves first. Lets straighten out our ideas and lightly tread on others. Of course there are exceptions to the general rule.
